Lynette joins Invest Alberta Corporation

June 8, 2021 -  Invest Alberta Corporation was established by the Government of Alberta as Alberta's first ever  Crown Corporation dedicated to investment attraction, with a mandate to engage the world and provide high end tailored support to investors, drawing in new capital and jobs to Alberta from major new investment projects. Lynette was appointed as the inaugural Vice President, Corporate Affairs, effective July 5, 2021.

Lynette to speak at women's leadership event

March 25, 2021 -   Local businesswomen will have the opportunity to connect this summer, thanks to a partnership between the Fort Saskatchewan and District Chamber of Commerce, the Government of Alberta, and the Government of Canada.  Lynette will be one of the event's speakers on June 24, 2021.

Lynette participated as panelist for exclusive documentary screening by Macewan University School of

March 30, 2021 -  Macewan University School of Business hosted a virtual screening of SHE STARTED IT, a documentary about five passionate, trailblazing young women who strive to compete and thrive in the ruthlessly competitive boys’ club of high tech startups. Lynette participated in a panel discussion with other female leaders in tech, innovation and entrepreneurship following the screening.

Lynette hosts livestreams with leaders in biotechnology sector to promote investment opportunity for

March 22 and 29, 2021 -  Lynette hosted two livestream conversations with leaders in research, pharmaceutical companies, non-profit and government to promote the opportunity to invest in Alberta's biotechnology sector.  “Internationally, the biotechnology sector is more exciting now than it’s ever been,” said Dr. Lorne Tyrrell, director of the Li Ka Shing Institute in a livestream forum discussing the strengths of the research and development in Alberta’s pharmaceutical industry.

Lynette delivers economic outlook presentation for 2021 Housing Forecast

January 13, 2021 -    “Shifts in the global economy mean that opportunities that were once a ‘sure thing’ for the Edmonton region, just aren’t anymore,” said Tremblay. “But these shifts have also opened new doors. We can now compete in areas where we couldn’t before. This is more than hope – these are concrete opportunities where we can compete to win. When global investors begin unleashing their pent-up demand and start shopping for a new location – we’ll be ready.”

Alberta Colleges Economic Recovery Task Force releases final recommendations

October 15, 2020 -  The Alberta Colleges Economic Recovery Task Force has released its final recommendations after months of work that included a series of roundtables and stakeholder consultation sessions with industry, government, economic development, Indigenous peoples, and students. As a member of the Task Force and co-author of the recommendations, I am excited by positive response from the Government of Alberta.

Another global ranking for Edmonton Region

July 6, 2020 - Edmonton was featured in Startup Genome's 2020 Global Startup Ecosystem Report among the Top 10 in North America and the top 100 globally in StartupBlink's global ranking of 1,000 cities. According to Lynette,   “we are aggressively trending in the right direction and that’s largely thanks to our many entrepreneurs, our universities and colleges, and the incredible talent that calls our region home.”  Read the article here. 

Lynette appointed to Alberta Colleges Economic Recovery Task Force

May 7, 2020 - Alberta’s 11 Comprehensive Community College’s (CCCs) have launched an Economic Recovery Task Force to assist the work of local, provincial and federal governments, and industry, as they tackle the economic challenges faced as a result of the global COVID-19 pandemic.  Read more here.
