I have developed and executed successful go-to-market strategies for North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. I competed with bigger and better known entities, but was successful by leveraging a blue ocean approach and creative thinking.
I can help your company or community successfully enter new markets through targeting the right markets and partners, developing a compelling value proposition and brand, and leveraging creative go-to-market initiatives focused on results.
Although Alberta punches above its weight economically within Canada, on the global stage it's a relatively small and unknown player. Competing against larger provinces and states who have more resources and have been established in international markets for decades seemed like a daunting task. Most people look to emulate best practices and what their larger successful competitors are doing.
I took a different approach, one that focused on the markets that weren't already saturated, markets similar to Alberta in size, industry, and culture. I focused on markets where our value proposition would resonate. And, instead of setting up expensive offices and pursuing big conference sponsorships, I opted for a model with low overhead that leveraged partnerships and our own curated and targeted events.
This strategy paid off, helping us establish relationships in 27 markets (18 countries) in 18 months with a small team and lean budget. We doubled our deal pipeline every month during this period.

I forged a partnership with the Chamber of Commerce Brazil-Canada (CCBC) to build economic opportunities between Brazil and Alberta. We brought in additional stakeholders and established the Brazil Hub in Alberta. The partnership has been a resounding success.
Within one year of establishing the partnership and the hub, 10 Brazilian companies have identified Alberta as their location of choice, two delegations have come to visit Alberta from Brazil, and Brazil aerospace manufacturer CSA has incorporated in Alberta.
"In the past year, I had the opportunity of working with Lynette on an investment attraction project between Brazil and the Province of Alberta. During that time, I was impressed by her professionalism and dynamism. Her dedication to the project, along with her in-depth knowledge of the business environment in Alberta, were key to a very successful outcome. Those qualities would, in my view, make Lynette a great resource for any companies looking for advice in the areas of advocacy, partnerships, business development and marketing."
I spoke about my work with Brazil on the This Professional Life Podcast.
