I deliver training workshops for communities and economic development agencies focused on how to create an effective value proposition, target companies and markets, and build a go-to-market strategy that works. I've worked with large cities, small towns, and rural municipalities as well as regional economic development alliances and larger investment attraction agencies. Each workshop is tailored specifically to the community or agency's unique needs.

Having helped build economic development agencies from the ground up, I know that economic development experience is not always easy to find, especially in smaller communities. That's why I created a training program for economic development officers, but also the supporting team (communications, planning, marketing, research, finance). The program covers how to effectively leverage a broader team for success. Because economic development is a team sport.

It's important for decision-makers to understand the investor journey and decision-making process as they are developing policies and tools to grow their local economy. I've had the I've worked with municipal councils, provincial and federal governments and private sector businesses. This has enabled me to understand the role each plays in landing an investment and what the optimal conditions are for growing an economy.
